We got up Friday morning, October 19, and drove to Meramec Valley Camp Resort to pick up our camper. We hooked up (first time for that since last summer) and towed it to the Lebanon MO KOA. Had a strong side wind most of the way and man was I tired by the time we got there. Saw a bad car / semi accident on the west side of Rolla. It had things slowed up for quite a while.
We got to the campground and got set up and napped for a while. That evening we drove over to the square dance festival and danced a bit. Also bought some new square dance clothing.
Saturday morning I drove back to the Meramec Valley Camp Resort for the board meeting. I could have missed it but since it was the first one since I had been elected I felt like I realy should attend. It turned out to be a much longer meeting then I expected. I missed the morning dance session where they closed down old Route 66 and called a tip on the highway. Beth did take some pictures of the dancers.
On Saturday evening we went back over to the dance and did quite a lot of dancing. After the dancing was over we went over to the hotel where some of the club members were staying and had a little after dance party.
Sunday morning we got up and towed the camper back to Meramec Valley Camp Resort. We set it up for our week long vacation. We didn’t really have any plans other then to relax for the whole week…. which is what we did.
We did drive into Pitossi on Tuesday to get some information on some property that we bought out that way. We have a bit of a problem with the title on the property and hope that the information we got will help us get it squared away. For more on our vacation see the next blog.
