Like a lion

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Well, March came in like a lamb and it sure is going out like a lion. We woke up to snow on the ground. I looked out the window and saw the snow and thought of Mom. I guess because it is so close to April Fool’s Day. She always tried to fool us with “It snowed last night.” I said something to Beth and she said she thought of Mom also. Let me know what you think of the new theme. I thought it was time for a Spring theme even though there is snow on the ground. Hasn’t been much going on. We went to dinner with our group of camping friends on March 24. Went to an eyetalian restaurant called Stephanina’s. I got a plate called “A Taste of Italy.” Came with a big salad and then brought the plate and it was a platter. I ate and was stuffed. The next night I ate some more of it for supper and quickly filled up. The next night Beth and I both ate supper from it and she had the rest the next day for lunch. And it was only $12. How’s that for a bargain – 5 meals for $12. Going to be busy the next few weekends. Got to take video at church for Confirmation. Then, of course, there is Easter weekend. And then, the weekend after Easter, WE ARE GOING CAMPING. Beth has Friday off and I am taking a day of vacation so we are going to make a three day weekend out of it. I think the next three couple of weeks will take forever to get here. We are going to have vinyl siding put on the house soon. We have been getting quotes and think we are going to use the son of some friends of ours. He has been laid off for quite some time and is a carpenter and has done siding. He has the tools needed to do it and the price was good. Not sure when they will start. Going to a concert at church tonight. The principal of the Lutheran High School is a member of our church. He writes hymns and plays the guitar and sings and is having a free concert tonight. He just produced a CD so we’ll see how it sounds and maybe buy that. Not much else.

Busy weekend – quick trip to Fort Wayne

I took Friday off and drove to Fort Wayne to see our new grandson, Austin. Beth has been there since February 26. She went to help Kelly since this was another c-section. He is a real cutie.

Austin - Isn't he a cutie

I really need to do some catch up here but to be honest, I would have to really work to remember what all we have done since the last time I updated and none if it is all that important so I’m just going to skip it and try to do a better job of posting on a regular basis.
