I took a half day of vacation to come home so that they could install the new phone system. We had previously had AT&T Call Vantage (VoiP) but they discontinued that service so we switched to Charter Cable Telephone. When I got home the guys were working on putting up the siding. It really looked good so I took a couple of pictures and sent them to Beth at work so she could see what it looked like. When it is done I will post before and after pictures.

This weekend we took down a big tree in the front yard. Our neighbor did all the high work. He started about 11:00 and finished about 4:00. Got a lot of the tree cut up and hauled back to the wood pile. Still a whole lot to go. On Sunday we hauled more wood and moved all of the branches that might have been in the way for the guys to put up the siding – if they start this week. It was a long weekend but we got a lot done. Sure are tired.

Beth had Friday off so I took a single day of vacation and we made a three day weekend. Didn’t pack any groceries. Just the normal staple stuff. We got up Friday morning and went into Owensville with two friends (whose wives were not yet down to the campground). We went to a little cafe that is part of a very small bowling alley and had breakfast. It was very good. Then we went to Wal-mart and bought groceries for the weekend. We spent most of the weekend just getting reorganized for the camping season. It was the birthday of one of our camping friends so the whole group had cheesecake and ice cream around the campfire. We had purchased a ‘Little Red Campfire’. We used it for the first time on Saturday night because it was wet and kinda rainy. Everyone sat under our awning until the wind started to pick up. We all put up awnings and chairs, etc. before the storm came in. Put a new bicycle rack on the camper on Sunday morning and put the bikes on it but didn’t even ride the bikes.

Ran errands yesterday morning and then we were going to work for about an hour in the back yard. Ended up working for about 6 hours. It was a wonderful day for outside work. Sunny but not to hot to work. Got up Easter morning and went to church. (Beth sang a duet with another lady from church.) Wonderful service. Hope you have a blessed Easter.

Got up Saturday morning and went to an open house at an RV dealer. We had a few things to get in preparation for camping and we got a free gift as well. Then we went to a home  and garden show. Saw some neat things but didn’t spend much. Sunday morning we got up and went to church. I took video again of confirmation. Fourth year for this. This is the first time we have gone to church on Sunday in quite some time. We normally go on Monday night. We are going to have vinyl siding put on the house. The guy was here tonight with the color samples. They will start in about two weeks. No more painting.
